Hoaxuan Lyu is a current sophomore at Duke Kunshan University majoring in Envioronmental Science with a track in Biogeochemistry. Her research interests lie at the intersection of environmental science, freshwater ecology, and microbial biology. She is particularly interested in understanding how microalgae and other microorganisms respond to environmental conditions and contribute to biogeochemical processes in aquatic ecosystems. Through her work with microalgae, she hopes to explore the connections between microbial physiology, environmental stress, and ecosystem function, with a broader interest in freshwater systems and their responses to environmental change.
