CReAtE Lab Member Dr. Joong-Tak Yoon Leads SnapGene Plasmid Design Workshop at HackDKU

On April 26th, 2025, Dr. Joong-Tak Yoon, Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biology at Duke Kunshan University, delivered an engaging and hands-on workshop on plasmid design using SnapGene at HackDKU 2025.

As part of HackDKU’s Biotech Track, Dr. Yoon guided participants through the fundamentals and practical techniques of plasmid construction, leveraging his expertise in plant molecular biology, protein function, and genetic engineering.

The workshop, sponsored by SnapGene and hosted in collaboration with the DKU iGEM Club, gave attendees the opportunity to learn cutting-edge plasmid design tools and apply them to real-world biotech challenges.
